The Supreme Court of Ohio will accept public comments until June 7 on proposed amendments to the Rules of Practice of the Supreme Court of Ohio.

The proposed changes were made to make the rules for those practicing before the Supreme Court easier to read and understand. This includes altering the reference to the rules in pleadings from “S.Ct.P.R.” to simply “Rules.”

Other notable changes include eliminating service of documents by facsimile (fax) and updating some of the rules involving death penalty cases and bail issues.
