Ohio attorneys who missed the Sept. 1 deadline to register can do so by Nov. 2 before incurring a suspension.

Registration for the 2025-2027 biennium can be completed online at the Attorney Portal. The Ohio attorney registration process must be completed online and includes an electronic bar license, which can be stored on an attorney’s phone for easy access or printed out as needed. Cards will be issued via email.

By rule, Ohio attorneys must register with the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Registration and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Section on or before the first day of September in each odd-numbered year, or be assessed a $100 late fee.
