The Supreme Court of Ohio has released the 2024 Case Statistics Annual Report. The report provides a detailed analysis of the Supreme Court’s caseload and operational efficiency. It highlights the increasing adoption of e-filing, and notes that nearly half of all cases are filed by self-represented litigants.

In 2024, the Clerk’s Office accepted filings of more than 11,000 distinct pleadings and other documents, including 1,803 new cases. More than 1,700 cases were disposed of in the calendar year, with a case clearance rate of 95%. The report also details continuous improvement in shortening the time between when a case is fully briefed and the date it is argued before the Court.
