Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court Joins White Ribbon Campaign to End Domestic Violence

The Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court recently participated in the annual White Ribbon Campaign, joining communities across the region in raising awareness about domestic violence and promoting a shared commitment to safety, respect, and nonviolence.

The white ribbons are a symbol of solidarity with survivors and a pledge to work toward a future free from violence.

“As someone who has spent my entire judicial career working to strengthen protections for survivors and improve how our courts respond to family violence, I know that real change happens when communities stand together, said Administrative Judge Diane M. Palos. “The White Ribbon Campaign is a reminder that preventing domestic violence requires leadership at every level—from our courts, to our service providers, to every individual willing to speak out.”

The White Ribbon Campaign is the world’s largest movement of men and boys working to end violence against women and all forms of gender-based harm. The Domestic Relations Court remains dedicated to supporting survivors, educating the community, and fostering proactive engagement to stop abuse before it occurs.

“Engaging men and boys in this work is critical,” said Judge Palos. “The White Ribbon Campaign challenges each of us to confront harmful behaviors, model respect, and foster environments where violence is never tolerated. That collective responsibility is how we break the cycle of abuse.”
