As part of its America 250 initiative, the Supreme Court of Ohio has unveiled a series of monthly exhibits in its newly renovated Marble Showcase. The rotating exhibits celebrate Ohio's rich history, culture, and contributions to the nation in anticipation of America’s 250th anniversary.

Each month, the Marble Showcase will spotlight a unique theme, weaving together storytelling and artifacts to educate and inspire visitors.

Monthly Themes: A Year of Storytelling and Discovery
The Marble Showcase serves as a centerpiece of the Supreme Court of Ohio’s America 250 celebration. Each month highlights a theme reflecting Ohio’s diverse role in shaping the nation’s past, present, and future.

Upcoming 2026 themes include:

• March 2026: Ohio Entertains
  Highlighting Ohio’s contributions to music, entertainment, and film, this exhibit will feature the famous Sam Sheppard case, which inspired the TV series and movie The Fugitive.
• April 2026: Ohio Moves
  Focusing on transportation, this exhibit will explore the history of Ohio’s off-site court sessions and their role in bringing justice directly to communities.
• May 2026: Ohio Creates
  Celebrating arts, culture, and literature, this exhibit will feature the Magna Carta and examine its influence on Ohio’s legal traditions.
• June 2026: Ohio Outdoors
  Showcasing Ohio’s natural resources, this exhibit will display official state symbols, from the state wildflower to the state bird.
• July 2026: Ohio Gathers
  Highlighting statewide homecomings and picnics, this exhibit will explore Ohio’s fireworks laws and their cultural significance.
• August 2026: Ohio Goes to the Fair
  Celebrating the Ohio State Fair and county fairs, this exhibit will delve into the state’s litter laws and their impact on community events.
• September 2026: Ohio Plays
  Focusing on sports and recreation, this exhibit will examine the intersection of athletics and the law in Ohio.
• October 2026: Ohio Grows
  Exploring Ohio’s agricultural heritage, this exhibit will highlight food and farm laws that sustain the state’s farming communities.
• November 2026: Ohio Serves
  Honoring veterans, first responders, and front-line heroes, this exhibit will pay tribute to Court staff who have served in these roles.
• December 2026: Future Ohio
  Looking ahead to 2076, this exhibit will address legal deserts and the ongoing challenge of ensuring access to justice for all Ohioans.

More than a series of exhibits, The Supreme Court of Ohio’s America 250 Showcase offers a journey through the state’s history, culture, and contributions to the nation. The Court is celebrating the semiquincentennial, America's 250th Birthday, with a year-long celebration called “The Story of America" highlighting significant historical events. Beyond digital content, the celebration includes events and displays at the Court.
