Ohio Supreme Court Justice Michael Donnelly will be showing off his guitar playing skills, with a host of other judges and lawyers performing music, June 19 at the 11th Annual Jam for Justice in Cleveland.

This is Justice Donnelly’s seventh time performing as a singer/guitarist in the band, “Faith and Whiskey” at the event. He started performing in the band when he was a Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court judge prior to his election to the state’s highest court.

“Jam for Justice has been described as Cleveland’s legal event of the summer,” Justice Donnelly said. “I love the event because it’s an opportunity for lawyers and judges who play music in their spare time to get together, have fun, and at the same time help raise money for Cleveland’s most worthy institutions, the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.”

The proceeds support legal aid’s mission to secure justice and resolve fundamental problems for low-income people in northeast Ohio. Legal aid helps individuals and families facing a variety of legal issues, including evictions, domestic violence, legal challenges related to employment or education, and barriers to accessing public benefits, income, or assets. For more than 114 years, legal aid has served northeast Ohio’s low-income residents.

In addition to Faith and Whiskey’s performance, fans also can enjoy other attorneys, judges, doctors, and accountants who play in:

  • DJ Wolfe Entertainment
  • First Offenders
  • Lost Bob and the Ozone Ramblers
  • Luke Lindberg and Hung Jury
  • The No Name Band
  • Out of Order
  • Rule 11 & the Sanctions
  • Six Sometimes Seven

Tickets are $50, with discount tickets available for law students and public service employees. Admission includes food and one drink ticket.
